On February 14, the HUST International Education and Scientific Innovation Campus (Junshan International Campus) started trial operation. Over 10 units, including the Office of Student Affairs, have moved in. These units have created the necessary conditions for working, studying, and living on the Junshan International Campus, ensuring its formal operation in July and official opening in September.
With the General Logistics Office taking the lead, the Junshan International Campus has adopted an integrated management system aligned with the main campus. With canteens and supermarkets operational and the maintenance crew in place, the Junshan International Campus is gradually achieving service standards on par with those of the main campus.
With HUST Hospital and other units taking the lead, the security personnel completed their training, the campus network was activated, the medical license was approved, and the lighted courts were put into use, all of which have enhanced the comprehensive support capacity of the Junshan International Campus.
On February 19, the first academic event was held at the Junshan International Campus. Luo Xin, a professor from the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, delivered a presentation on “The Concept, Key Technologies, and Development Trends of Humanoid Robots.” Nearly 200 representatives from the government, research institutions, and the business community attended the event.
